I've traditionally used Red cards, but I just got an nVidia 6 series this weekend and I've loved the features exclusive to it so far.

$240 - $250 for a HD 7950??

You can find them for around $200!!!

Sapphire Dual-X HD 7950 (w/ Boost) for $199.99 ($219.99 before mail-in rebate)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026

Gigabyte WindForce 3X HD 7950 for $199.99 ($224.99 before mail-in rebate)

HIS IceQ HD 7950 (w/ Boost) for $214.99

If you are going to pay the extra premium for $240+ HD 7950, like what @Cali930 said, might as well spend around $20 more for a HD 7970.

I honestly think for the same price, a 670 is a better option than the 760, provided you don't need the features that the 7xx series offers.

How?

If you are want to spend $240 - $260 for a "fancier" HD 7950....add about $20 and go one level higher; to a HD 7970.

If not, don't spend $240 - $260, save $30-$50, and get a HD 7950 that's priced at around $200 (like the ones I listed above).

Also, from what I know, the DirectCu II HD 7970 is NOT overclocking friendly; the voltage is LOCKED. I don't know if the HD 7950 variant is the same scenario or not...

The Vapor-X cooling from Sapphire is pretty friggin' cool (no pun intended), but Dual-X is just as good. IMO, the price premium for Vapor-X over the Dual-X cooling isn't really worth it. The voltage is also adjustable on this HD 7950. I've owned a Sapphire Dual-X HD 7970 for about 4 months now, runs very cool...and has a decent amount of overclocking headroom (as the voltage can be adjusted!!).
