Ok so I have an idea for a windows based desktop software that I want to use for personal use only. There are a lot of programs out there that do the same thing but are for a bigger agency and cost a fortune. I simply want to make on catered to my needs and maybe use for one or two friends. I have no clue on how to program or code or where to begin. I would like to hire someone but don't want to pay an arm and a leg it wouldn't be anything complex. Basically what I want to do is I have a few forms I use at work that I would like to put in an easy user interface to have basic inputs and then when you print it out it comes out on the proper document and all the info is in the proper locations. Is this something that will be complicated or not worth my time? any suggestions would be good as again Im new to the whole coding and programming thing.

Could you explain this a little better? It sounds an awful lot like a feature in MS word.

 

Also your title doesn't explain what this thread contains very well, maybe update it.

Why not just use Google Forms and a pre-formatted spreadsheet?

Submit your data through a Google Form, and then have additional sheets on the "Responses" spreadsheet that automagically display the data how you want it.

 

The alternative is having a developer code up either an application or Web-based database system that accepts input and displays it how you want.
