Are the Audioengine a2+ worth it?

Hey guys, I am planning to do a new pc build soon and was wondering if any of you have heard/have these speakers:

- Are they worth the $250?

- Do the white ones look good?

- Do scratches appear easily?

- Is it worth it to jump up to the a5+?

- How is the bass?

Thanks a ton, just wanted some info from people who actually have them

My take: the price is steep, considering that these are basically glorified PC speakers. Micca MB42 with SMSL SA50 will be slightly cheaper and certainly sound better.

The A5+ are definitely better than the A2+, but once again they are expensive for what they are. JBL LSR305 is cheaper and at least as good, Vanatoo Transparent One is more expensive but better.

A2+ is not worth $250 in the slightest.  I like the A5+ for what they are, in fact I love them, it doesn't change the fact that there are more options in that area.
