Samsung 27" Curved vs 31.5" Curved.

ReversePlasma

Hey,
So after having used an old Acer AL2216W for a few years, it's finally starting to die. So I'm needing to invest into a new monitor. Personally, i enjoy the curved monitors alot more and apparently they are good for video editing, which is mainly what i do. With some gaming of course.

My question is,

The 27" Curved or 31.5" Curved.

With Samsung's money back at the moment the 31.5" is only $30 more (AUD). At first i thought i'd be daft to get the 27" BUT, being series 5, the PPI is higher on the 27" than on the 31.5" meaning that in theory the 31 will have less quality.

What should i do?

Cheers,

RP

Do you sit close to your monitors?

If you do, you might hate both.

I had a 27" 1080p monitor and I used it for about a week before I gave it to my dad. I sit about 3 feet from the monitor, and I absolutely could not stand the low DPI, it gave me headaches. The 31.5" would look horrible unless you're sitting quite far from it.

Yeah i sit about the same length away. Any screens you'd recommend for the $430 AUD price point?

If you can save up a little more there's the Acer CB270HU.

You can also consider the Dell U2515H. It's a little small for the resolution though.

Are you wanting a big monitor? Smaller one? There's an LG 21:9 monitor in your price range as well. 29"
