Vulkan is an API. Reinstall it - the new driver specifically says it is adding support for it.

AMD and nVidia add Vulkan support into their drivers, and you uninstall it and think it's a virus. Kek.

 

As mentioned by many already, Vulkan is an 3D Application Programming Interface (API), typically used for GAMES -- with slowly now with VR content.

 

Valve and EA have been working with Vulkan for some time now -- Source2 Engine will have Vulkan support.

After AMD launched 'Mantle' the pot got stirred, and people / companies are trying to move away from DirectX. In fact, Vulkan is a "descendant" of AMD 'Mantle.'
