Hello so ever since i installed the latest 364.72 nvidia drivers i have been having all kinds of problems.

like constantly losing signal to my monitors and only being able to set my 144hz monitor to 85hz.

my monitors wont turn on after reboot and i have to do a full shutdown before getting my display back.

all of these problems still remain after removing the drivers with DDU and rolling back to the last stable drivers.

I have also replaced the displayport cables and im at a total loss i have heard that the drivers might damage if not brick your gfx card.

And it would suck big time if the driver update just broke my dual 980s is there anyway to fix this?

do a roll back ( uninstall current driver and  install to previously working one) and see if that brings back the  stability

if so  then its a driver only issue  and you might need to try reinstalling the new drivers ,

i have already done so and the problems are still there

I just noticed your driver revision ,  i thought they yanked that driver ,,, its the bad driver that was  causing all sorts of havoc , and pc issues ,, and  everything your describing. you installed the driver version that made a mess of a lot of systems.  and yes that driver was known to damage stuff.  Id contact  your Card manufactures and  speak with them on the matter since youve done  about everything I wouldve tried.

364.47 was the "bad" one that some people had big problems with. 364.51 was the one they replaced it with quickly. 364.72 mentioned here is the next release after that.

As for OP's problems, either something has changed that hasn't been undone even with reverting drivers, or the problems are coincidental. I assume a clean start is too much pain as a diagnostic step, but might be considered e.g. if there is a spare HD that could be used temporarily to preserve the existing install. A fresh install would at least help indicate if it is a software problem or possibly hardware.

Before that, maybe just double check all connections are tight and nothing has come loose.

At this point gigabyte ,,, most retailers practice a 30 day direct return policy,   RMA  will be your best bet ,  but @porina made a point about starting from scratch with a spare drive for diagnostics purposes. I would eliminate all other possibilities before trying for an RMA, because thats out of pocket cost  to send the cards in , etc.
