So I just downloaded an android emulator called Droid4X. So I launch the installer and first thing my computer tries to block it, so I use my administrator password to let it pass, and then it asks for access to the internet in chineese, so I allow it. At this point I tell my antivirus to scan the installer file and it says it's ok. So I continue, when I notice the licence agreement box comes pre-checked (unusual) and the licence agreement link links to a server error. I don't know if this is a real server error or one put there to hide the real terms and conditions which sell my life away (or sell more of my life than other software at least). But this emulator was on the top 6 android emulators by android authority. (link here). Here is a link to Droid4X's website: http://www.droid4x.com/

Thanks, any help or input is appreciated.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)

I have tried it before, I stopped using it because they wanted me to start paying for it

Microsoft has an android emulator to go with visual studio:

https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/features/msft-android-emulator-vs.aspx

Google itself offers an android emulator with their android SDK:

http://developer.android.com/tools/help/emulator.html

I havent used the MS one yet although im interested in the native cross platform development using Xamarin (android Java is a mess and web apps suck).

I know from experience that the performance of the google one is not that great (even with a x86 image and GPU acceleration).

Droid4X is OK. I've been using it since last summer. Since its based in China, I can assume that issues with their servers relate to nationwide firewall. Like insane dl time for updates.
