Both are equally excellent units, and have really long warranties.

Really, it just comes down to the feature list. Which one's features attract you? Does it justify the price?

Assuming that you indeed need a 850w, how much they cost in your area? You could get the RMi instead. It's based on the same CWT platform with the same Corsair Link features and warranty, at a reduce efficiency, but offer superior voltage regulation and ripple suppression thanks to the added v.sense wires and capacitors on the new Type 4 cables.

There is literally a $15/£20 difference between gold and platinum chances are i probably will go for the hx850i but I've heard a lot of good things about evga too.

I believe £20 is $28 USD, atm. Quite honestly, that's not worth spending the extra money on, especially since Corsair had made some improvements on the platform when the RMi was release a half year later.

It's up to you either way. They both are excellent units nonetheless, as with the P2 series.

Hello,

I was wondering which power supply i should be getting for my high end system. Which would be better out of a Corsair HX850i and a EVGA Supernover 850 p2? or if you have a better suggestion in that price range please reply, thankyou.

The cheaper of the two is fine.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
