Hi guys ,

I have recently bought a zotac gtx 970 amp extreme edition gpu which uses 2 6pin power connector.

My psu has a splitter cable which is 8 pin to dual 8 pin connector (or dual 6+2 pin connector).

Can i use this splitter cable to power my gpu ?? Please help.

Thanks :)

Yes

I do that with my XFX XTR 750W Gold 80+ whatnot.

I think it is made to be used that way, and since it is 8 pin to 2x 6+2 pin then using only the 6 pins should be fine anyway, as you are clearly using less than the limit of 2x 8 pin.
