I'm planning on building a gaming pc soon. What gpu and cpu combination should I choose for it?
Asus gtx 960 strix 4gb + i5 2500k
Asus gtx 960 strix 4gb + FX 8350
Asus r9 380 strix 4gb oc + i5 2500k
Asus r9 380 strix 4gb oc + FX 8350

Update: I could also get the i7 3820, EVGA GeForce gtx 950 ssc or Sapphire r9 270x

Why only those old chipsets?

380 + 2500k if that is all available

otherwise I would say 380 + 6600k/4690k

2500K + 960 will be faster than 2500K + 380.

6600K + 960 will be slower than 6600K + 380.

DX11 driver overhead, it's an issue :)

If you don't mind the power supply demand and heat, I'd go with R9 380 and FX 8350. Performance of all 4 should be fairly close in most applications though.
