New DAC/AMP?

So I have the FiiO E17 DAC/AMP, and I was wondering if I can get something that's worth the upgrade in the budget of 200-240$ (USD) range. At the moment I think the sound I get is good, curently paired with a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50x which is a good all round headphone IMO.

I listen to all kinds of music (rock, metal, black metal, rap, pop, dubstep, electronic etc.) and from different sources, the electronic tunes I usually just listen to on spotify (I've literally never been able to hear any difference between spotify and FLAC when it's electronic music) while the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin etc. gets bought off of iTunes (because I use an iPod when I'm out and about or traveling) and in some special cases I have the FLAC files which in some cases make me realise how good that particular song is, and sometimes I can't hear anything different (read electronic beats).

I recently ordered the AKG K7xx headphones and I wonder if I should upgrade the DAC/AMP combo, atm there's nothing wrong with it, but will I really hear an improvement at this price point?

Nah, keep the FiiO. The M50X aren't really good enough to warrant a DAC upgrade and the K7XX should sound great on your E17.

nah not worth it at that price. Plus the K7XX's dont have a high enough impedance to make buying a new dac/amp necessary.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
