It sounds like your boot sequence has messed up and you can repair it using the Windows disk and going to the repair start up. Also the computer booting for a longer period of time may be caused by and portable drives, memory sticks and things of that kind being connected to the computer as it boots.

First of all, try and reset bios. Also reset your cmos and all that standard stuff.

If that does not work, try windows recovery.

Try and move your hdd to another PC and try and boot from it. If it still does not work, then you know it's your windows install. If it does work, it's something with the boot sequence as Damikiller37 mentioned.

If it is your motherboard/bios/boot sequence, you could try and flash your bios for another version, some motherboards are equipped with two bios chips, which you can easily change between, try that aswell if you have that option.

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?

Sometimes I get hangtime on the Windows start up when it shows their logo. All I have to do is wait about 1-3 minutes and then it loads fine. This happens occasionally.

Have you tried to re-seat your RAM? probably not it but until you reply to some of the other questions :)
