Hello! I'm building my first PC soon! I'm going to be running a single 980ti, 16gb RAM, 1x2tb HDD (WD Blue) + 500gb samsung 850 EVO (m.2), 3x1080p monitors running at 60Hz, a wifi card, and a 850 EVGA NOVA PSU.  You probably noticed that I didn't mention a CPU, that's why I'm here.  I'm making a custom loop PC (PETG tubing), which I know is hard for a first build, but, I trust my self and I know I'm very good with doing things with my hands (If you know what I mean... You know, arts and crafts :P).  I wanted to ask, what CPU I should get. I'm between the 6700k, the 5820k, and the 5930k.  I'm not an overclocker, yet, and I do minor gaming, more web browsing, movie watching and some photo editing.  What does the genius group in LTT forums have to say to me about the CPU?  Later on, I might add in another 980ti... so, maybe that can help with the CPU I should get.

p.s. --> I will start gaming later on because right now I have a super over clocked running at OVER 9000 GHz INTEL 4000 GRAPHICS.  I also did not mention a mother board because I don't have a CPU...  If you guys want me to keep you updated with the custom hard tubing loop I'm going to do, just ask me to and I'll upload some photos :)

5820K is the best CPU for the money in that price bracket unless you live in a country where X99 boards are super overpriced. I'd recommend the 5820K and a board like the Asrock Extreme 4 or Gigabyte UD4. It's a killer compute CPU and awesome for gaming as well.

Current PC: Origin Millennium- i7 5820K @4.0GHz | GTX 980Ti SLI | X99 Deluxe

Thanks for your response! I haven't heard much from ASRock so I'm not too confident with them.  Do you think they're actually good? I'm not too good with this stuff...

ASRock is fine, just as good as (if not better than) Gigabyte. I'd recommend the cheaper one that has the features you want

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Remember to quote people if you want them to see your reply!

I use the Asrock X99 Extreme 4. Love that board except for the Bios which is a bit dated but does the job. They get my thumbs up! I'll definitely buy from them again if I want to save money or they have nice board.
