bios not appearing

i just built my pc and turned it on expecting to see a msi bios instead there was no logos just reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media into boot device.

i know htis has been asked before but in all those questions they can access the bios i cant what do i need to do does it have something to do with drivers

Try resetting your CMOS. Look in your MOBO manual. It's usually taking out a CR32 battery for 5 minutes, or moving a jumper to the right and then to the left. Should be a simple operation.

Does it boot? Or automatically boot to a bootable device?

im not sure ive tried booting to a usb with ubuntu that dosent work

Yeah that's a good idea, sometimes it's easier than that. Like my motherboard has a dedicated button that you can push.

i cant find the cmos in th motherboard thers a bit which says dul bios and uefi would it be near there

Look in your motherboard's manual and find where the CMOS header/button is. If that doesn't work, take out the battery, wait a few minutes, put it back, then try again.

just found the clr cmos in the manual hit it with a screw driver and it wroks yay
