$1000 AUD PC

Hey. I'm in desperate help for making a good gaming PC for $1000 Australian Dollars (AUD) that can run Minecraft, CS:GO and some more games but mainly those two.

When playing without recording I'd love 120+ fps and 60+ fps when recording for 720p60 or 1080p60 YouTube renders.

Yes I know Minecraft can run on a microwaves radiation signature......

I plan to use this gaming PC to record for YouTube. (Prepare for shameless self advertisement) (www.YouTube.com/xHotPixels)

Please remember that it has to be Australian and in AUD. Thanks

Main points:

Can run minecraft and csgo above 100 frames preferably when recording

Goodish at rendering, recording and editing.

Thanks!

its harder to run properly than you think...

that said, recording 1080p60 properly most likely wont be a think within 1000AUD.

if i dont get ninja'd by a better proposal i'll drop in what i can do later.

Okay thanks but I'm fine with 720p60 :)

Seems good but im worried about this

Compatibility Notes

The Fractal Design Core 1300 MicroATX Mini Tower Case supports video cards up to 380mm long, but video cards over 200mm may block drive bays. Since the Asus Radeon R9 380X 4GB Video Card is 271mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

This should be good.

Just threw in a case that looked decent. Didn't realise that the video card wouldn't fit properly, sorry. The case really doesn't matter that much, as long as everything fits:)

When playing csgo you will get 120+ at least. No idea about minecraft.

this is what i'd do:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($279.00 @ Umart)
Motherboard: MSI H170A PC Mate ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($159.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Memory: Kingston ValueRAM 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($25.00 @ Umart)
Memory: Kingston ValueRAM 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($25.00 @ Umart)
Storage: OCZ Trion 100 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($89.00 @ PLE Computers)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($98.00 @ CPL Online)

Case: Antec NSK4100 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($63.00 @ Umart)

Total: $1162.00
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

quick rundown of specs:

- i5-6500 *should* do 720p60 just fine, cant quite say what it'll do at 1080p60 but is #goodenough

- msi PC mate, i mostly got this one in there because i recommend it a lot, and for this specific case theres 3 pci 1x slots for capture and/or sound cards. (and dem legacy slots on cheap boards...)

- dont let the kingston valueram scare you, i have a bunch of very early DDR3 valueram dimms, and they do their job while cutting off another $10 over getting the cheapest kit

- 240GB SSD, this is mostly just here to avoid the seek times on a HDD

- 2TB spinning rust, does its job, plenty of room for recordings

- R9 380 should do the job more than fine, splurged and got the 4GB model to have plenty of vram in case you're gonna do badly coded games... (seeing you play minecraft xD)

- for as much as i hate antec... they have proven to last and have beyond exceptional build quality for their price.

- seasonic power supply, nothing more, nothing less.

its a bit over the $1000 mark (still less than @lm212 mind you) if the budget is a problem i'd suggest leaving the hard drive out for now, and get a refurb instead (some local shops sell refurb drives for pocket change) and if need be you can get a lower end motherboard.

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gah110mh this one, while providing way less options, will cut down your cost by another ~$70 over the build i posted above without losing tangiable peformance.

no. that R9 390 is a waste of money that could have gone towards getting at least a somewhat decent motherboard for example.

EDIT: the fact asrock doesnt know the difference between µatx and mini DTX worries me...

can't see it being a bad motherboard, just not much features. any random mobo can run a gaming rig just fine. edited to a b150m-d3h.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
