what panel?

what panel the AOC U2879VF have?

here you can see that it has a 170/160(H/W) degree viewing angle

i would think it was a TN Panel, but the viewing angles doesn't match that

My current guess is a p-ips panel, because it has 10-bit support. 

 

With now updated information.. What would you think the panel is?

Viewing angle when it comes to displays is just a measure of from what angles you can see the display from. It is not dependent on whether or not the colors stay accurate within that angle range (if it's TN they wont be accurate at that 170/160 range)..

AFAIK 10bit support wont help because you wont get much 10bit color content

you could go with a 8bit IPS for great colors and viewing angles, keep an eye on "matte" so the sun or other lightsources dont reflect
