Xbox Wireless Adaptor for PC causing mouse issues

Hey so I recently bought an Xbox One Windows Wireless Adapter. Did all the set up and everything seemed fine. Played The Division and it worked fine. But when I turned off the controller, my mouse gets disabled from clicking, lags heavily, and makes a beeping noise if I click or move the mouse. Does anyone have a fix for this? I use a Razer mouse so I have synapse 2.0 if that has any effect.

Same thing happens with me and I'm using a wired controller. I believe it was a Windows Update that caused this issue.

I'm still looking for a solution, but thought I'd post here and let you know you're not the only one!
