[QUESTION] Power Limit (AMD)

Go to solution Solved by TrigrH,

Perfectly fine along as you have the headroom on your power supply

Hi, :)

Is it safe to raise the Power Limit to MAX in AMD Crimson Overdrive? I know it doesn't increase voltage, but is it safe?

People have told me it just lets the card use more power than normal if it needs to, but can I just put it on max with a very light OC? (no extra voltage)

Specs in sig...

Any help is appreciated! :)

Yes, if the Crimson software allows then max voltage and power are safe assuming temps are in check

as long as you have good Tier 2 or Tier 1 power supply with enough power delivery you will be perfectly fine

You're golden. You can easily feed 2 390Xs off that PSU with maxed OCs
