I have an ASUS Z97-A MOBO, and it has only 1 USB 3.0 header. My issue is that I have an Antec 900 case with 2 front-panel USB 3.0 ports, and I want to get an Enermax ECR501, but then, I can't have it and my case ports plugged in at the same time(no case USB 2.0 connectors). I've heard of splitters that you can use to hook up 2 USB 3.0 connectors 2 1 header. Do these actually work?

no reason it wouldn't though I would think the max speeds on both ports simultaneously would be halved. USB hubs are common things so the internal version should be no different.
