GTX690 still worth it?

Eh, it's not really that great anymore. Kepler got ditched sort of in terms of drivers so the 690 performs about the same as 770 SLI which is slower than a 980. Around the same as a 780 Ti but the VRAM is a bitch. Definitely not great for VR and definitely not worth it over the 390

Hey, I got a question.

 

How does a 690 compare to a GTX 970 in 1080p gaming? Would it do the job at VR? Is it still worth it if I can get it on ebay for the same price as R9 380x?

Honestly just try to stay away from SLI and Crossfire till they (if they) fix the drivers. 

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

690 only 2GB Vram, 970 3.5GB + 0.5GB Vram and always the R9 390 is better and the 690 is worth if it costs like r9 380x

The 690 is a dual-GPU card, ie. it runs in SLI. I would suggest steering clear of an SLI or Crossfire setup if possible. I switched from 3 x 7970s to a single GTX 980Ti recently and the 980Ti outperforms in most situations. There are a few games that scale well with multi-GPU and they do get better framerates from the triple setup, but I'd rather just have a smooth, simple system these days.
