Hi, I was wondering what I should get for 50 bucks? For the cpu cooler, I was thinking of over clicking my pentium g3258 and it would have to fit in a corsair spec 01. For the ssd I was thinking the Kingston v300 120gb just for better overall preformance. Let me know which one is my best bet.

EDIT: I have decided I am going to save up for a 250gb Samsung 850 Evo. Thank you all for the adviceQ

Don't get a V300.  They're notoriously bad.

get an ssd, but not the v300

get something like 850 evo, it cost more but its totally worth it

you dont really need a aftermarket cooler to oc the g3258... unless you're pushing it hard

You don't really need a $50 cooler on a G3258. If there's a Fry's Electronics near you, they have a cooler called the SilenX Effizio EFZ92-HA3. Make sure you're getting the tower and not the downdraft. It'll do more than perfectly for almost any G3258 overclock unless you're trying for 1.45v+, which is suicidal for your CPU. The stock cooler can handle most G3258 overclocking, though it'll get loud.

The V300 is awful and had some shady crap pulled by Kingston. If there's a Micro Center near you, go get a Micron M500 240GB SSD for $61. It's not the most blazing fast SSD in the world anymore, but it's from a solid company, uses MLC NAND technology, and is dirt cheap. If you can find a way to make a Samsung 850 PRO fit the budget, dooo eeeeet.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

I'd say hold off the SSD until he can get something bigger.  120GB really isn't worth it anymore, should save up and get at least 250GB.

agreed just bought the samsung 850 evo last last week and it's performing very well. From almost 2mins of boot up it became only 15sec right now.

considering the processor he is using

this is probably a budget build

120gb will do, 250gb is for having extra space for more games

a 120gb is good enough for OS + basic softwares + 1 or 2 games, it will make your overall computing experience faster, 250gb or 120gb

edit: that said, you can add a few more dollars for a 250gb, so if you can afford it comfortably, i highly recommend a 250gb. but if you cant, a 120gb will serve you just as well
