CPU overheating when gaming

just go to something like Sim Lim or funan or some IT mall

then find a case that you like that supports a tall air cooler like the 212 evo

you can do so by going online and check the case's specs, it should write cpu cooler clearance or something of that sort

One less known, but surprisingly good, cooler would also be Scythe Katana 4 (SCKTN-4000). I used to use one with my AMD FX-8350 and, while it was quite loud, it kept the temperatures at acceptable level. And considering the cpu, that's quite a feat for sub 25$, or even 20, cooler.
