"Black blobs" in applications

That seems more likely, actually. That kind of application is probably managed by Intel HD.

This is going to sound like an odd issue, but sometimes when using Firefox and Chrome I'll get see this:

Is this an issue? When I hover my mouse over the "blobs" it resolves itself, so it seems a rather odd occurrence. I couldn't reproduce it, it just happens sometimes.

I think I've had someting similar once and it ended up being the gpu driver. Try installing the newest one/re-installing it if you already have it.

Thanks, I'll try that; I've got my GPU drivers up to date but I've never updated the Intel HD.
