Alright so here's what I need help with, I'm a photographer/film maker, and I need a laptop with an i7 and at least 8 gb of ram, I looked for used laptops and found plenty

the thing is I found a mid 2012 macbook pro 13" and I've heard that 4k movies are much faster to export on FCPX than adobe premier or any other editing program,

so I really don't know, I bearly game on the PC i have right now, even tho its a beast of a system.

Thanks

Basically, I have 700$~ converted from my own currency to buy a laptop to use on my travels, I need a laptop that I can easily use to edit photos, and videos, with decent specs.

A mac would work pretty well, though the 2012 Mac pro seems to have an i5, not an i7.

If you can find a recent one for under $700, go for it

yeah thats the thing, the i5 Macbooks seem to do fine in FCPX, so Im not sure how bad the 2012 version is comparing to the new ones
