That's a really large range for your budget. What would you *like* to spend on this?

Core i5 6600k | Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce | MSI Z170 Krait Gaming Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR4 2400 | NZXT S340 Red                                              EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 | Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo | Razer Blackwidow Tournament | Logitech G600 Razer Kraken USB                                                                                                            If you want me to see your post, please remember to quote me!

Silence optimized case, Water cooled GPU/CPU, a 390X is overkill for 1080p ya but I think it's the least expensive/best water cooled card for the money, and the CPU is probably overkill, but at a 2K budget, easily worth it for the long run

your are definitely going to want 2 displays, one for gameplay, one for monitoring your stream

Monitor Mounts

http://www.amazon.com/Mount--MI-752-Adjustable-Desktop-Monitors/dp/B0052AWGLE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1458881118&sr=8-5&keywords=Monitor+Mount

As for your microphone, I'd say just get like a samson GO mic, cheap, and you can just clip it onto something, works really well to start, buy your Yeit with arm after you really get into streaming if you really get into it, just throw like a sock or something on the mic for your pop filter, or just buy one, they're like 7 bucks for a basic one with a flexible arm

http://www.amazon.com/Samson-Mic-Portable-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B001R76D42

http://www.amazon.com/Dragonpad-filter-Microphone-Flexible-Gooseneck/dp/B008AOH1O6/ref=sr_1_4?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1458881298&sr=1-4&keywords=pop+filter

Also you're going to want closed headphones most likely to keep the noise from leaking out and getting picked up by the mic

And if you want a 1440p primary display, this one is IPS $335 still has a VESA mount, but maybe just put that money towards a 4k primary display at some point, they start at around 500 for a 4k IPS 27" free-sync display

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-umhx2aa001

You could also for around $261 get a 144hz 1080p TN Free-sync primary display for gaming, which would give the 390X much more of a workout

You'd only need like one 390X for a 60hz 1440p display, if that a 390 would be fine

For what reason? Unless he's going to SLI (let's face it, he should just upgrade to Pascal/Polaris and avoid SLI issues altogether), there's no need to go more than 650W. A 550W PSU can easily run a GTX 980Ti.

G-Sync/Freesync is a nice feature to have but not entirely necessary. I've opted to gone for a nice IPS monitor instead of a TN. Cheapest 1440p Freesync IPS monitor is about $500. Even when we factor the smaller cost of the Fury, I'm still gonna go over budget.

Well, 144hz 1440p IPS, for $550 for the proper one, the ASUS one is near worthless

I have no idea why there aren't 60hz IPS free-sync 1080p/1440p displays, those are the displays that probably most people buy now, and all we have are shitty TN displays

I suppose, but that depends if he's ever actually going to play that game, might be a sign of the times are a changing and games will be harder to run, but you could also probably live with playing on just high settings for saving like $150 or so.

That's an alternative. Games like ROTTR are pretty much indicative that we need more GPU power. Cards like the GTX 980Ti, while still good, are going to depreciate fast.

I feel like I should just tell everyone to hold off until Polaris/Pascal release and then get their systems. Hopefully they're more bang for your buck.

4k at 24" is going to be pretty unusable and not really worth it at all, you'd even get more usable screen real estate out of a 27" 1440p display.
