Does mouse pad matter ?

Do you guys think mouse pad matter? I'm getting Logitech mx800 mouse for regular use. If mouse pad matters then suggest me options.

I would use one. I mean using a mouse on a Wood table isn't really a good idea. Just get a Steelseries Qck for $10 http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-QcK-Gaming-Mouse-Black/dp/B000UEZ36W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458855438&sr=8-1&keywords=qck+mouse+pad

I was using a crappy $1 mousepad forever(2-3 years), finally dropped $35 on the huge moused from corsair a month ago, very nice improvement. Feels smoother, mouse glides over it easier, it was a nice improvement in my setup for only $35 and will last a long time.

My qck went shit after about a year so i can't recommend it, china has mousepads with raised edges for 3-4$ which surpass the quality of the qck

In my opinion a mouse pad is only recommend or necessary

A) If you wand to keep a wood desk in good shape or

B) If you have a highly reflective/Transparent desk as the mouse may not track well on it

I personally dont use one Its really in personal preference

If you would like one I would recommend a low drag microfiber mouse pad, as they can help keep dust in the sensor down

Thanks do you suggest getting the corsair, steelseeries, razor or something else. I might get the extended version. It just looks cool and it doesn't make the working space uneven.

the corners of my qck just went off and it was very uncomfortable that the top layer kept peeling off when i did any actions with my mouse, latern on got a xl razer goliathus for store credit, it's a lot more comfortable but probably not worth the price.

i have something like your second amazon link, got it off ebay for 10£ or something, plain black with purple edge stitching, did get looking filthy quite soon as i do hobby stuff at the table, but i do like having one. on the wooden table, the table gets quite ruined after a while, also i like the little resistance from the cloth pad (i hate the plastic ones with super slippery surface offering no resistance) i feel does add precision.

I think mostly any will do with stitched edges, as otherwise they do fray quite quickly from every day use and look disgusting.

HyperX Fury or Corsair MM200 in whatever size fits your needs. I use a Fury Large at home for low-sensitivity gaming and an MM200 Compact at work. Just a word that the HyperX Fury edges are a bit scratchy but that hasn't bothered me much.
