Well I've recently been experiencing fan vibration on my build which is like 2 months old. I want to know if there is a way to figure out what specific fan is causing the vibrations. It's really annoying since the whole desk vibrates with it, so I guess, but there is like, 3 case fans, 3 GPU fans, 1 CPU fan as well as 1 PSU fan.And by the way, should I leave my build on top of my desk or down on the floor?

So yeah, thanks!

It's almost definately not ur fans.  Go into ur pc and check that no wires are in the way of the fan blades.  If there are no wires, I'm pretty sure its ur hdd.

I can help with programming and hardware.

Put your ear up to each fan and you should be able to tell if one specific fan is causing the problem.

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

It might be an HDD. I had an older one that literally shook the desk whenever disk usage was high.

Make sure all your components are mounted properly and tightly.

I suggest getting some anti vibration mounts because they're just really cheap rubber pieces that go a long way.

My guess is after 2 months of vibrations, something has worked it's way loose to compound the issue.

Check all your screws before anything else.

You were right, one of my two HDD is the cause of that vibration. Now, both my HDD are almost brand new, so either it's not screwed in correctly or otherwise what can I do?

If your HDD is attached directly to the case, metal to metal, then put some kind of rubber/soft pad in between it and the case. That fixed it for me. HDD's naturally vibrate, since they're spinning at 5400RPM or higher, so you need to put something to dampen that vibration.

It's on a bracket for a 3.5 inch drive, whats strange is I've got both HDD in RAID 1 but only the bottom HDD vibrates.

That is a bit weird. Make sure both the drives are functioning correctly.

Thanks you buddy, after tinkering around not only did I add another fan to my CPU heatsink, I tried rescrewing the HDD onto the bracket. After powering it up, I said, "well maybe it's just a fucked up bracket!" . And guess what, it was the stupid bracket!

Well that's good news. Yeah, for me it wasn't screwed in all the way.

Sure is good news, I've also decided to let it sit on the floor rather then on my desk. That way if it happens again I won't notice it.

Just make sure it's not on carpet, since that'll dust up your PC.
