Hey guys,

I have a Corsair C70 Gun Metal black that I plan on modding. I was wondering what a good material is that won't bend or melt. My computer sits around 25-45 degrees celsius. I've came up with clear acrylic. Let me know your suggestions.

Thanks,

C13GE

MNPC tech makes replacement windows for the C70 if your interested but my personal favorite would be to replace it directly with a glass side panel as it doesn't scratch as easily:

I saw the replacements from MNPC tech however I didn't see them in Gunmetal which is the colour I have, either that or I'm blind. What tools would be good for cutting glass. I move my PC around a lot so would glass still be an option?

Something like a smoked or tinted window:

As for glass it's not a bad option but you need to take a bit of extra care to not drop it as it does have a higher potential of shattering, in general you can use regular window glass and get it custom cut at a glass shop for not too much. Tempered glass is ideal but those do cost more and if requires it to be custom made if it's not a standard size.

I might look into the tempered glass if thats a bit stronger. If not I can just use the acrylic.
