Hey everyone,

So I'm trying to start a youtube channel, and I recorded a few test game play clips using Fraps.  Before I buy a game recording software, i wanted to get other people opinions on what the thought to be the best one.  A problem I encountered with Fraps was that all its files are in .avi format which isn't compatible with Davinici Resolve 12 (The free editing software I want to try).  So whatever good recording softwares are out there, i would prefer one that can save in .mp4. I'm open to suggestions!

I've used fraps, bandicam, and OBS. I didnt like fraps, OBS is good but a little complicated, Bandicam works great, easy to use, but it has a watermark if you dont pay. I recently got Action! for free and it seems like a great replacement for Bandicam, no complaints yet and more options than Bandicam.

I have no tried the paid version of bandicam. But it is identical to the free one, just without a watermark, so I can confirm it is a decent piece of software. I found it very easy to record high quality videoes.
