pc vs console

i am planning to buy an xbox one to game on. is that an good idea or do you guys think i should go with an pc, (i have heard that pc gaming is exspensive)

Xbox One is $300. Not too bad for the price... But dear god the cost of games.

 

I do agree though, go PC over xbox one or PS4.

Depends is the weakest argument people make. Don't use cost to access the value of a pc. When you need to get work done use a pc. When you game use a pc. I'm never going to be typing my word document on an xbox. And every year a new xbox comes out, it's one step closer to a more expensive pc.

its true for 90% of console, they lose money on the machines, and gain it back though licences and add ons like the controllers

Royalties for games, and plenty of accessories to go with the console. As a result, game prices are high and sales are underwhelming.

Well, in case you are really serious:

For 300$ XBO might be worth a buy for some casual quick gaming.

 

 

But consider this:

Even now the XBO (and PS4) are struggling to get that 30fps which is BARE MINIMUM for a game to be playable. And they do that at best on 1080p. Most of the time they have to go for 900p. At least on XBO.

 

Microsoft is planning on making an upgradable Xbox.

Sony is planning on PS4.5.

 

So PC, while for sure will be more expensive because of the console's current prices, will last MUCH longer.
