Need case fans suggestions for new build.

Hey guys I'm looking at doing a high end PC Build very soon and I have everything lined out except for case fans.

I'm just really confused as to what fans to use for what location and how many.

I know the difference between SP and AF fans and the particular fans I would like to use are the Corsair AF and SP Blue LED fans

Here's a link to the build in question http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6JF9hM

I would be willing to get more than necessary just for the awesome look of lit up case fans.

So what would you guys recommend for the setup to have optimal cooling?

I personally love EK Vardar. They're a tad expensive, though.

Dead silent.. tacky... which isn't a problem if you don't care about aesthetics.

They are silent though, imo better than noctua ones!

Do you already have a 4k display? You should wait a few months to buy the top end GPUs as new ones are coming out

also overclocking isn't going to be worth it on your CPU

What are you even using your PC for? Should be going X99 for that budget

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I'm gonna be running a Acer Predator X34 1440p monitor. I know it's overkill but I wanna run games at 1440P max settings and 100 fps with minimal frame rate drops. Also some future proofing too. I don't see any benefits of X99 CPU's since most games don't utilize the extra cores yet.

Future proofing aside from your case isn't real, X99 is just a higher end platform and makes more sense to buy if you have a high budget. Also why do you have 32gbs of RAM if you don't need much CPU performance compared to the 5820K?

Wait so your display is seprate? like a 3K PC and 2K display?

because with free-sync, you could get a 2K PC + a display that's 25Hz slower, and save like 2 thousand dollars for whatever else, and the performance is going to be fairly similair unless you OC your 980tis, and even then that certainly isn't worth 2K

I'll reconsider the X99 series I just dismissed it because I heard it offers no benefits for gaming. I put 32 gigs of ram because I saw it was only $60 to bump it up and so I did it just because it wasn't much more.  I'm really set on Nvidia for the GPU's because I plan buying a shield console for streaming games on my living room TV. That build you listed is pretty legit. I don't mind spending an extra $800 for the specs on my build though.

You could just build a 2nd PC for the living room with the money saved, or if you're just going to stream to the living room, buy a Steam Link, it's only 50 bucks

http://store.steampowered.com/app/353380/

also Isn't nvidia is slowly seemingly forgetting about the shield, hasn't it been a while since they've updated it?

I would rather stick to 1 build. less complicated.

I'm not sure It seams to me like they're still supporting it.

I guess, but it's going to be way better to play games directly on hardware naturally rather than streaming them. for around $600 you can get like an i5 + 380X and be set for 1080p gaming
