:) Please don't fanboy out on me, I'm convinced Zen will be great

1) unlikely that zen will be better than intel's x99 platform

2) the pro duo only have 4gb effective vram, so u might wanna consider about it

3) leave future build plans for the future after you've seen the actual performance of the parts lol

4) why not just get the PG348Q? albeit its nvidia's g-sync instead of free sync, but you get 100hz ips panel ultrawide lol

5) stupid storage choices, unless you would somehow benefit from it

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

1: Zen will have more cores

2: 2X4 GB HBM will stack according to AMD

3: It's all theoretical

4: I hate Nvidia's drivers

5: I like insanely fast storage and extreme high capacities separate from each other, also this is a workstation also not just for gaming

1) more cores =/= better in gaming and also =/= to better performance overall, it depends on IPC and clock speed of the chip

2) if thats the case, great

3) its like planning how to use a broken pencil, its fking pointless

4) the screen doesnt use nvidia's drivers, so whats your point lol

5) thats why i mentioned its stupid unless you really use that bandwidth and speed of the drives, are you into professional editing or use the disk as a scratch disk? why not consider a ram disk/cache? it's less taxing on your HDD/SSD and the speed is way faster

I understand your arguments, but I'm not buying all of this until I know what all of my choices are later this year. Not even the prices will be the same by then, and I'll probably go with a less extreme build at least with AMD Zen processors. :) I agree with all of your points, though.
