+MageTank oh wait... Z170-A PRO supports multi GPU. but it says AMD crossfire supported. does it mean if i invest a new nvidia gtx970 gpu , it wont work with the mobo?

https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/Z170A-GAMING-PRO.html#hero-overview

From the specifications: "MULTI-GPU with Steel Armor: Steel Armor PCI-E slots. Supports NVIDIA SLI™ & AMD Crossfire™"

It supports both. :)

Oh, sorry about that, I didn't realize that product even existed. Google pointed me to the Z170A Gaming Pro, so I assumed the other was just a misprint.

You're right, they do not list SLI compatibility for the Z170-A Pro. I assume that means the second PCIe x16 slot is not wired to run at a minimum of 8x, which SLI requires but Crossfire does not.

It's a pretty fast kit. What motherboard do you plan on using? Also, which country are you located in, so that I can compare prices with other kits?

wait i just noticed 6600K memory types doesnt support 3200mHz CMK16GX4M2B3200C16R.. The max ram is 2133Mhz.

That "max supported memory speed" is for JEDEC speeds only. It supports WAY beyond that, trust me. I am using a 6600T (locked, low-voltage version of the 6600k) and my memory is clocked at 3500mhz CL14-14-14-28-1. Granted, IMC quality is a roll of the dice, but you can always fiddle with tertiary timings, or VCCIO/SA voltages to help make the IMC stable.

cool!

ok, i've planned Z170A PRO 6600K and corsair sticks.

by the way... for this time is my CX500 can hold up?

well with 2400 and gtx970, it runs well.

Yes, 500w is plenty for a 970 and a 6600k.
