Sli Question

No. One card can only SLI with a card of the same type. IE 670 and 670, but not 670 and 680.

You can't SLI a 670 and a 680. But in your case you can sell the 670 and get 2 680s

^this. Also do not mix and match memory configs like 2gb and 4gb. The card with the higher ram amount will be bottlenecked by the 2gb and will only be able to use the smaller cards amount.

This is true but you can still SLI them, it just means you'll be limited to the lower amount of VRAM of the two cards.

I will most likely get the 680, and then sell my 670 and then use that money to fund for another 680 :)

So you have a 670 now and want to buy a 680? I think it's best if you just save up for a 780, or maybe something from the upcoming AMD cards. Why upgrade to the same generation?

770 is usually for the same price or less than 680 and performs better. Also look into the HD7970, it performs the same, has more VRAM and you can find it really cheap.

@lachyman, @Cacao Good points :D, but considering im getting a year old 680 for £120 id rather get it? Or do you think ii should wait and get the 780?

I wouldn't buy used GPUs, but that's just me.

Ahh fair enough. Would you guys think a platform upgrade would be better? I mean i have a upgrade itch to scratch lol... And seeing as im on a old X58, LGA 1366 Platform i really would like to upgrade the lot, and make a similar pc to my mates... This is what im looking to get instead of upgrading graphics
