Lately (last two-ish days) Ive been having a really bad internet issue that only occurs when playing CSGO. The issue consists of me getting two different ping readings, one from net_graph and one from scoreboard. On a normal game on an East Coast server, I get around 30-40 ping as seen here:

At the same time, my scoreboard ping reads something along the lines of this, and it will go from 30-40 all the way to 120-260 and basically make the game unplayable.

Ive done a factory reset of my router in hope that something was wrong on its end, but that didnt work.

Pls help. I just wanna play CSGO :(

1. these are called ping spikes :D

2. Is there a chance your ISP is throttling you? (and what's your normal speeds?)

3. Depending on the speed of your internet, is anyone else using your internet while you play? (a week ago for like 3 years, I was getting a connection of 6.5/0.6 which gave me very bad ping if someone was using the internet (including myself)...just opening up webpages destroyed my ping (40 to 300 and stayed there till they went off the internet) but I recently got my internet upgraded to fiber and it's now 75/18 and no problems with ping, even when downloading something on steam uncapped... all of that good 9MB/s down speeds :D)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

1. I know :P

2. My speeds arent far off normal, we get 35/35 or more (we pay for 50/50 so Im really not complaining). I figured that it was a late night ISP throttle when it was happening last night but I came home from school today to the same shitty spikes.

3. Im home alone right now and its still happening :(

Im gonna give my ISP a call to see whats going on, they will be able to diagnose the issue better than we can :P
