Upcoming first build

Hello,

I'm thinking about building my first ever desktop. After some research i've put some components together but I'm wondering if they all fit together, also some  tips or maybe better components.

The system is mostly gonna be used for gaming and sometimes streaming

My budget is max 800 €

This is what i currently have: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sNJqK8

Will this be a good enough build?

Sure but I'd suggest either an R9 380 or 380X, either one are fine. Though if you can afford it the 390 would be even better.

Use the R9 380x,

Way better in my experience.

You have 1x8GB, Try getting 2x4GB(dual channel).

CPU is okay.

I don't know about SSD's but the HDD is okay.

Im planning to put my OS on the SSD, altho yeah an SSD is kinda optional. And I chose one stick cuz it's cheaper than 2x 4gb, what's the advantage of using dual channel?

@ both of you:  I remember the R9 380(x) has worse benchmarks than the gtx, so why would that be better if i may know?

Here's what i would do:

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/69jsRB
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/69jsRB/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($179.00 @ B&H)
Motherboard: MSI B150 PC Mate ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2800 Memory  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung  120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.49 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 390 8GB SOC Video Card  ($299.99 @ Amazon)
Case: BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case  ($47.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($34.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $811.43
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I swapped out your PSU for a better one, changed the motherboard (kinda subjective but I prefer MSI Mobos), changed the ram to a 2x4Gb of G.Skill (My favorite) and changed to a 390, and kept it on the edge of your budget.

It's not like it's extremely inferior, and the 380X is a fair bit cheaper. But if you must have something that's comparable for 1080p or 1440p gaming then the R9 390 is better.

I'd love to insert a 550W GS series psu but its out of his budget, and still this one is better than his starting one ( Cooler Master 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply )

Wait did you already have an os?

Yeah getting an OS isn't a problem for me. Will use windows 10 after all.

In what way actually? 8GB = 8GB riiight?

Also, I see everyone is recommending me AMD which im not a big fan off so lets say which GPU is the best for a psu of 450W - so without changing it?

AMD cards use a lot of power and they're loud (as far as i know)

The reason why we say to use the 390 is because the 390 is better in every way compared to the 970 for example you get better fps in games and even better fps at higher resolution due to the 390 having double the vram of a 970. They do use more power but the performace leap makes up for the power consumption. Never really heard a sound issue honestly.

Why would you spend an extra $60 on a better cpu and a cpu cooler when the difference is so small.
