How much are you willing to spend?

  • The magic arm and the mounting bracket are OK, you can always find alternatives on eBay if you don't like the design.  The only thing I will say is: you might want to consider not putting too many things on the camera's hotshoe.  See if you can clamp/attach things to the shoulder rig.
  • Mic, obviously there are always better alternatives but they tend to cost more.
  • Same with the field monitor.
  • Shoulder rig, dunno, looks OK enough.

If you're on a really tight budget there's hardly any other suggestions we can make and I'm not going to spend time finding alternatives for you. Looking a the total cost of all the items you listed, at this price point you get what you pay for.
