GTX 7XX Drivers?

Hello guys i was reading some threats and a lot of ppple told me that the last releases of nvidia drivers makes GTX 7 Series and older get less performance as they should 
Is this true?, i was trying to get the answer by myself testing it with December driver with 3DMark and performed well, then i used DDU and installed CD Drivers (I know its a terrible idea), but the performance didnt increase as i expected, even my 3DMark score was lower than before, so the theory is fake right? or is there any "better" driver for this videocards?  i was reading that the best drivers in terms of stability are the 362 in this moment, so i was wondering if i should use that version or my december version that worked fine for me.

It's mainly the high end 780/780Ti and GTX Titan cards that went for $600-1000 USD not too long ago. People thought that they would stay in the high end range for at least a couple years. However, in most new games, the 780Ti has a really hard time keeping up with the GTX 970. In games like Far Cry Primal, the 390x has a 50%+ lead over the 780Ti. The 780Ti used to be considerably faster than the 290x which was changed a bit to make the 390x. Whether this is drivers, you can be the judge. The point is, the high end 7xx series or Kepler cards really lost a ton of value. Also makes people really skeptical about saving up a lot of money for a $600+ Nvidia card.
