I have SENNHEISER CX 300 II earbuds, and they seem way more bassy when the Cloud 2's, but when I googled I saw that the 558's are even more bassy when the earbuds

The 558 has bass... but it's accurate and refined bass, it's not head thumping bass if that is what you think you will be getting...

 

If what you are after is a bass cannon headphone, look at the JVC HA-SZ2000. Otherwise if you want bass from an open headphone I'd say take a look at the Fidelio X2 or DT990.
