Alright so I am new to the forum, but I watch linus tech tips all the time and thought I might give it a try. I was curious as to which of the 2 methods of charging that I use damage a phone battery more. Charging overnight or using a quick charger. I know that charging over night is bad since it constantly pumps energy into your phone even after it reaches full charge since it uses energy to stay on the internet and receive notifications and what not, and I know quick chargers damage batteries since they cause great amounts of heat. I want to help extend the life of my phone so if quick charge hurts more than I was considering getting a battery bank and using that to keep my phone charged when I'm not home since I will be able to keep tabs on it. But if overnight damages it more then I'll just quick charge every day before bed since it only takes about an hour and a half to get to full charge and shut it off and remove the charger once it reaches max. Any helpful suggestions and tips are appreciated! I have a Droid Turbo in case you want to know.

What you could do is buy another battery and battery charger and not even rarely worry about charging your whole phone overnight, just your battery. Switch it out in the morning and plug in the initial battery into the battery charger and come back to it at night and so forth. An endless rotation...unless you forget to charge your battery then you need to result to charging with a wall adapter.

@Vercii That's what I would do if quick charging is considered worse for a phone, but if I can just stay with quick charging then I wouldn't need to buy a battery bank.
