Can't plug 24-pin connector into my motherboard

Go to solution Solved by reaper1988,

Yes you need to aply some presure to get it in ,also make sure you aling the latch on the motherboard with the one on the conector.

So I'm in the process of building my computer, and I just cannot seem to get this 24-pin connector into the motherboard. I've tried separating it into a 20 and 4 pin set, but there are latches on the sides of the 4 pin that make it impossible to fit in that way. Will I need to apply several pounds of pressure to push this in, or am I doing something wrong?
