pc rebuild failure

The pc was rebuilt just the way it was originally put together, the fans on the cpu spin and case fans however the gpu fan doesn't. It should work, there is also a blinking power button any ideas? I think something is just loose :/ this has happend before with a power outlet issue.

if the gpu supports 0db fan mode then its normal...

did you try turning it on and off? lolz you probably did

does the power button work?

check all power supply connections

ive had success with using dielectric grease in connectors in the past

pc wont turn on though as soon as its connected to power it just starts spinning fans and flashing the power button led and keyboard and mouse.

Sounds like a short or other electrical issue.

I am a paid professional, but only when I am at work...and getting paid.

things to check:

24-pin connection

cpu 8-pin/4-pin connection
gpu firmly in PCI-e slot

GPU's 6 or 8 pin power in (if applicable)

connection from gpu to monitor

monitor powered on (silly mistake happens)

this should be the minimal amount of things for you to connect for your board to post

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Isolate, and destroy(Conquer).. or something along those lines.

Break it down to the bare minimums,

Remove the GPU if you have a iGPU in the CPU, like in any of the intel Core series (i7, i5, i3) or AMD A6-A8-A10 etc.

Remove all but 1 stick of RAM

Remove all PCI-E/PCI devices (or god forbid AGP? idk what your system is so xD)

Basically anything not mandatory to the system's Bare operation.

___

Attempt to boot, if that doesn't work, inspect the few things left, make sure all the pins for 24 pin, etc like listed above in Moonzy's post, are infact properly pinned, and the pins aren't getting loose or having faulty connections.

__

I'm honestly a little confused what your trying to explain, really need to step by step explain better whats going on after pressing power button like Exactly, don't skimp on the details.

Start spinning fans and flashing power leds, means nothing if we don't know what caused it.

Edit:

From what I'm gathering, the computer is simply failing to post and not hanging, I actually get this when my computer fails to handshake with the monitor, it will rapidly turn off and not even hang at times

I had editted the post, re: sounds like its failing to post, and if had a board that gave error codes, prolly would get something before it shut off.

Do you have a speaker installed on the F_Panel (think its called something like that?) its a little black round thing connected where all the rainbow wires that go to start button, start led's etc, usually bottom right of your board

Will hear a BEEP, BEEP BEEEEEEP or something, it gives error codes.
