Mini ITX build

Go to solution Solved by Samfisher,

Yes, no, yes.

I've pretty much finalised this build and thought I'd see if you guys agree, couple questions I'd like answering:

1. will 550w be enough? (I'm 99% sure it will be)

2. could the GPU choke due to the PSU being close to it?

3. will 1 intake and 1 exhaust suffice? thanks.

Spec:

Fractal Design Nano S

Asus Z170i Pro Gaming motherboard

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400 2x4gb

i5 6500

Sapphire R9 380X Nitro Dual-X GPU

Samsung 850 Evo 250gb SSD

WD 1tb Blue HDD

EVGA Supernova 550w GS

Yes, no, yes.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

Problem with that case though, removing the top moduvent makes it look hideous :(

1. yes, with a good psu (yours is fine)

2. depends, but most probably no

3. if your 1 exhaust is including the psu then sure, if you have 1 fan as intake and 1 fan as exhaust but also have psu as exhaust, then you might wanna get more intake

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Its better to have a nasty machine than a sexy furnace. everyone likes a good looking build but Never compromise performance and rig life for looks.

To be fair though, 2X140mm intake fans and 1x120mm exhaust should be enough for a non-OC'd i5 6500 and a non-OC'd R9 380X surely?

With non OC and if the case itself has good venting it should be, but still, if it starts running red don't abuse it lol

Haha yeah, another question for you and anyone that could help, I plan on getting the Cooler Master GeminII S524 V2 for it, will I run into any problems with that motherboard?
