I have a fx-6300 in a gigabyte mother board and i have had an issue for a while with it boot looping twice and then turning on without an issue. it does this every time consistently. Since it has been doing this i have change the PSU, Hard drive, PSU, and graphics card. After it does that it works fine so idk if I should even worry about it. if you have information that could help that would be great.

Have you tried resetting bios to defaults and/or updating the bios to newest?

recently a video was posted on youtube with somewhat similar problems, maybe you can check it out

perhaps you can further explain your situation, does it post or it doesnt when it boot loops, any debug LED on your motherboard?

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

i have reset it before and that didn't change anything. i've been a little hesitant about updating the bios bc i was worried about bricking my mobo.

yea i saw his video and that's kinda what drove me to look into it again. it will post without issue. it just turns on for a second or 2 then shutdown, does it again, and then it will starts up normally. it does that same thing every time. Also, oddly enough i believe the mobo i have is the AMD version that is in Jay's video, which made me wonder if it was a common issue with these mobos.

well i dont know the quality of the mobo, but perhaps you can try booting with other devices?

unplug your current boot device while you try it

That is always a plausibility. Most of the time everything's fine though. The BIOS updaters are so much better now than the used to be. But use you own judgement.

i suspect the RAM, look at how much voltage it takes and how high it runs.

I had a similar "problem" - then fed the Ram a bit of voltage and all was well.

did you go over the spec or set it manually to the spec?

yea it does that regardless of what it is booting from. i attached a video, there is nothing on the screen until i moved my phone to it. im gonna try updating the bios and see if that helps.
