Gpu sag

Go to solution Solved by done12many2,

I'm not sure that it would fix the overall sag of the card completely, but that backplate is not adequately supporting the PCB or waterblock which seems to be twisting everything out of shape.  I don't see any backplate screws with the exception of those at the corner of the card.  Is that correct?

I will be trying some of the things suggested and will update with the results.. thanks for all the replies they are much appreciated

Is there not more mounting screws for the waterblock where the PCB is bent?

Wow!  That's a lot of new screws added to that backplate.  Nice work man and congrats!

Did that alone take care of a majority of the sag?

Did that alone take care of a majority of the sag? Majority yes, and if u look at the way I put some of the cables under that propped it up as well..  I'm still going to buy a support bracket with riser..  U can see the difference in level wise from the bottoms of the ram brackets how much further I half go for perfection.

That's great man.  Believe it or not, but your probably getting better contact between your water block and VRM/memory chips.  Possibly your GPU as well.  Hopefully you gained a little bit of performance in the cooling area.  Sometimes, a gain in cooling equals a gain in overall performance.

I bought a case from Caselabs, in which the motherboard is mounted horizontally.  I knew I was going to be using water blocks and wanted to avoid sags from the beginning.

Pretty sure you have to order it from the Mnpctech website. They ship Worldwide so shouldn't be any issues.

Sorry for late reply, but Thank you for recommending Mnpctech.
