I am in the process of picking out components for a my first build.  I hope to be able to use the computer to do some gaming, and replace my console. It will also be used as my work computer, so I will  mostly be using it for word processing, research, and web surfing. My hope is to sell my laptop for something smaller, and more portable that I can then use as a thin client if I want to do anything beyond word processing.

I've gathered these components based of Linus' latest build guide.I will most likely not have access to Ethernet networking, so Wi-Fi is needed.  I know that some of the components are unnecessary. However, that's why I'm here. I intend to overclock the CPU, and the  GPU. The GPU should be fine with the stock cooler as it is designed to be overclocked. The CPU will definitely need a better cooler, but the H55 might be overkill.

This is my version http://pcpartpicker.com/p/s8BTdC

You don't need 16gb of ram, i have it and have never used more than 5gb under any gaming load.

If you dont want to do overclocking, go with a hyper 212 evo cpu cooler

BUY YOUR OS PRODUCT KEY FROM Kinguin.net, last i checked it was right at 30$ with a guarantee it was going to be a good one. I didn't know about this site until after i bought a 100$ version of windows 10, that would of been another 100 invested into a better GPU if i had known about it

Slightly cheaper SSD, should be just as good and fast...

Other than those, it looks good
