Phone connection problems?

So, I recently got a new phone (Nexus 5x). I've been using a really only phone for a good few years now, so all this new phone stuff is fairly new to me (sound like an old person lol). Anyway, when I try to use my data (my service provider is Tesco Mobile), it says "login to network" or some shit. I tab on it, and it sends me to a Tesco Mobile's homepage, the web version - the CSS doesn't load. All the hyperlinks just redirect me back to the same page immediately. And there's a section at the top (not part of the website - displayed by the OS), saying "sign in to network", I tab on that and I get two options "Don't use this network" and "Use this network as is", I've tried both, although assumed it was the second one - nothing happens. So, my phone can't connect to the internet without a wifi connection.. help?
