How do i get 144hz monitor working at 144hz??

I just bought a new 144hz display AOC g2460pqu

my pc config is

CPU - AMD A10 7850k
GPU - AMD R7(igpu)
MoBo - Asus A88XM-A
Ram - 8gb(2400hz)

i am using a dual link dvi-d cable.

when i switch the settings to 144hz the monitor goes black for 15seconds and switch back to 60hz..
please help :( 

does my onboard gpu and motherboard able to project 144hz?

Never knew AMD R7 is an onboard GPU. AFAIK, it is lower end discrete GPU

 

Most likely you are mistaken to think that is R7 is an onboard GPU and your intel onboard GPU is incapable to get 144Hz at 1080p.

not onboard gpu..

i have an amd apu processor which has r7 integrated.

yeah i did

 

just tell me this does my integrated graphics card (r7) would able to run 144hz monitor on a88xm-a motherboard??

or i need to buy a discreet GPU

It should work fine. Can you get it at 120Hz at least?

It does support 144htz (but over Dual-Link DVI and Display Port; Not Single-Link DVI and VGA)

i will change the cable and report back
