How good is this build for running and streaming games such as witcher 3, fallout 4, farcry 4, ect. if anything needs changing for better price/performance let me know. also ignore the color of the motherboard i know it doesnt match, im working on getting a custom blue one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/c6qpZL

Why two separate SSDs? RAID isn't advised. Just get one fat 500GB SSD.

Never tell someone to get a different OS if they're going for the latest one, Windows 10 may not be the nicest for you personally to use, but it runs far better then 7 does.

Great build, have a look at 390's though they perform better, and DX12 performance is much better. I'd also get 1 500gig SSD as setting up raid 0 is rather annoying (I tried with two 128gig SSD's) I would also recommend getting windows from reddit (Microsoftsoftwareswap) for far cheaper

Looks good,

However instead of two 850 EVOs get one 500gb unless your really want to raid 0 (I wouldn't)

Also If you want better price to performance i would get a R9 390 Nitro instead of the 970

CPU: i5 6600k OCed to 4.5Ghz @ 1.35v, GPU: R9 390 Nitro, Motherboard: Asus z170-A, CPU Cooler: H100i GTX, RAM: HyperX 2x8 16gb DDR4, PSU: Seasonic x650, Storage: 850 EVO 500gb, WD 1tb blue, Case: H440 White/Black

Issues like that get fixed pretty fast, Although personally I stick with 8.1 but never 7 purely because it's so much smoother, games and general operation.

I have an i5 4670 non k, EVGA 970 ftw, 8Gb DDR3 Ram and for witcher 3 I can run it 60 fps with amlost all things ultra and no hairworks, your build is really solid! but maybe replace the seagate HDD for a WD blue HDD, other than that its really good!

It's not, maybe a couple fps, but usually it's cheaper and the vram doesn't hurt. amd-r93-grid-4k.png

actually it seems the r9 390 and the 970 are the same price both 309. the 970 has a higher core clock but only 4 gb  and the 390 has a lower core clock but 8gb. so the 970 would be better because of the higher clock rate right?

Actually purely from core clock you can't really tell, the 8GB vram I'd call useless, 4Gig's all you need but the 390 will perform the same in most scenarios but should kick the 970's ass in DX12

higher vram is typically only important if im going to have high demanding games or multiple monitors right?

Vram just stores things that the video card needs to access quickly, as far as I know, the more power, the more vram you'll want (sort of) considering the 390 and 970 perform the same I would rate the vram as useless for most situations, looks hella fancy though
