4K or G-sync

I can't afford to buy a monitor with both 4k and G-sync. So I have to deside which I go for. I'm having problems deciding if i'm going for a 144Hz, 1920x1080, 1ms monitor with G-sync or a 60Hz, 4K, 1ms monitor without G-sync. Maybe someone who have experience with can help me since I have never bought a monitor before? :)

whats your gpu? no point going 4k if you're going to run at 24fps, might as well get a console and a tv for that price

4k is nice to game on,but can your GPU handle 4k?

if it can then the real question is,do you prefer the image to look extremely sharp or the frame rate to be higher?

G-sync. 4K is so expensive to run xD

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x 4.9Ghz PBO    SSDs: 250GB 850 Pro           STEAM: KezzaMcFezza
GPU: GTX 1070 Strix                                     250GB 970 Pro           MOBO: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus

HDD: 1TB WD Black Drive                             500GB 860 Evo          MOUSE: Logitech G502

dont bother going 4k with a 970, you'll just get rekt by the 3.5gb vram

and the raw horsepower of the 970 is insufficient to drive 4k at playable framerate at decent graphics settings even if you have enough vram

dont get me started on the 960

you can run 4k but don't expect the frame rates to be high in newer titles like GTA,Far cry and all those sorts.

Unless you crank the settings really low,i don't think you should go for 4k.

i own a 970 and its driving games at 1080p around the 100fps mark at ultra settings, i suggest you go the 144hz 1080p monitor route,

personally i would rather have smooth gameplay + good looking graphics than sharper graphics but stuttery mess

and 1080p is plenty sharp enough unless you've experienced 4k screens, then it'll be tough for you to step down

I have not heard the deal with the 960, do tell.

960 will rekt 4k, 24fps is cinematic A.F.
